JOB TITLE: Child Care Worker 

Classification: Part-Time / Non-exempt 

Department: Gen Now 

Reports to: Gen Now Pastor of Early Childhood

I. General 

The Child Care Worker is responsible for the care of children during regular Sunday services and other events during the week or weekend, when scheduled. This is a part-time position and requires flexibility in schedule. 

II. Reporting Relationship 

The Child Care Worker reports to the Gen Now Pastor of Early Childhood. 

III. Core Competencies and Expectations

H. Practice daily Bible devotions and prayer. 

IV. Duties and Responsibilities 

A. Set-up the children’s classroom or area. 

B. If lessons are included, prepare in advance. 

C. Be ready in the room to receive children fifteen (15) minutes before the event. 

D. Follow proper check-in and check-out procedures. 

E. Positively interact with all children, assuring that they are nurtured and well cared for, physically and emotionally. 

F. Follow the Children’s Ministries Policies and Procedures. 

G. If unavailable for an assigned event, Child Care Worker should find another Child Care Worker or Kids Serve Team member to cover for them. If unable to find a replacement for assigned event, Child Care Worker should communicate in advance with the Gen Now Pastor of Early Childhood. 

H. Maintain regular participation in Bethel Church services and ministries. 

I. Attend Children’s Ministries Training when available. 

J. Any other duties as assigned by the department pastor. 

V. EDUCATION, SKILLS, ABILITIES: 

A. Experience in caring for children (Birth through 5th grade) with the ability to adapt and interact with a variety of personalities. 

B. At least eighteen (18) years of age 

C. Completion of Live Scan (fingerprinting) and Background Check 

Base salary 

$17.55 per hour
